Good Morning , Welcome to what I hope will be a fun blog to follow as I and 18 other education colleagues travel from Connecticut to China as part of the Principal Shadowing and Teacher Confucian Program, Sponsored by the State Board of Education and the Connecticut Association of Schools. We leave from Bradley International on Tuesday the 8th of April and land in O'Hare for a short layover before heading to Beijing International. Our plane is due to land there the following afternoon on the 9th at 3:00p.m. Last week it was exciting to get our sister school assignments. We have been linked to Licheng Hongjialou Primary/School which is located in Jinan. Short of the name of the school I have no other information as to the size, the exact location and the grade configuration. If it is like the other primary schools it begings with 3 year olds in kindergarten where they will be until age 6 and then move into 1st grade and continue through 6th grade. I look forward to questions that you would like to pose and I will do a lot of questioning on the trip. We will spend five days in our sisterschools from Monday April 14th through the 18th. I see it as an experience of a lifetime.
